1 Although it would be unusual for a cellist to be named as a principal player in a piano quartet, Buxbaum often formed ensembles with younger musicians in the 1920s after his dismissal from the Arnold Rosé String Quartet, and Schenker was likely to refer to these as Buxbaum's groups.
