He had previously written Frédéric Chopin (Berlin, 1905), and would go on to publish Analyse der Chopinschen Klavier-Werke, 2 vols (Berlin: Hesse, 1921–22). 2 Jan Kleczynski (1837–95), who wrote several works on Chopin that were translated into German, of which Chopins größere Werke, ed. Natalie Janotha (Leipzig: Breitkopf & Härtel, 1898) was in Schenker’s personal library at his death, with many marginal annotations. |
