Footnotes

1 Schenker's diary for Tuesday June 22 records: "Zuckerkandl tells me, via Brünauer, that he is unfortunately unable to come to his last two lessons, but that he will still write to me." This was in contravention of Schenker's postcard to him the previous day, "in which he is requested to avail himself, if possible, of the last two lessons of the teaching year."
— Heinrich and Jeanette departed for their vacation on July 1/2.
