Austrian actress.
Leopoldine Konstantin made her debut with the Deutsches Theater of Berlin in 1907, appearing in, among other plays, Frank Wedekind's Spring Awakening (1907). She moved to Vienna in 1916, working in theater while also acting in silent movies. In 1938 she emigrated to the United States, appearing in Alfred Hitchcock’s film Notorious (1946). She returned to Vienna in 1948.
Schenker, calling her “Leopoldi” (but the Neue freie Presse listing confirms her identity), heard her reading sketches by Peter Altenberg and other writers on the radio on March 28, 1930.
