Documents associated with this person:

Austrian social activist in music.

Schneider-Grünzweig was a pianist until an arm accident prevented her from pursuing a professional career on that instrument. From 1893 to 1928, she was President and single-handed organizer of the professional body, the Verein der Musiklehrerinnen in Vienna. In 1896 she started the Association's pension fund, but this was lost in the currency devaluation after 1918.

When the Österreichischer Musikpädagogenverband was founded in 1911, she was the sole female member of its founding committee.

There is no known correspondence between Schneider-Grünzweig and Schenker.
