Lischke was the editor of the Magazin für Kunst, Gewerbe und Musik until c.1840. He was also a publisher, issuing music by Viotti, Dussek, Hummel and others. He published an edition of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas Op. 2, about which Schenker comments extensively in Der Tonwille 2 (1921), pp. 37‒39 (Eng. transl, vol. I, pp. 83‒85).
