In Abänderung unserer 3 Abmachung vom 25. August 1912 haben wir heute vereinbart, dass ich für die kritische Herausgabe resp. musikalische Revision von Beethoven Sonate op. 101 an Stelle des vereinbarten Honorars von K 1200.- ein Honorar von K 15.000.- i. W. fünfzehntausend Kronen erhalte und zwar die Hälfte per K 7.500.- i. W. siebentausendfünfhundert Kronen bei Unterschrift dieser Abmachung, die zweite Hälfte per K 7.500.- i. W. siebentausendfünfhundert Kronen nach Ablieferung des Manuskriptes. 4

We 1 received from you a letter 2 with the following content:

Universal Edition & Co.,
Vienna-Leipzig

In alteration of our 3 letter of agreement of August 25, 1912, we have today agreed that for the critical edition or musical revision of Beethoven Sonata Op. 101, instead of the agreed honorarium of 1,200 Kronen, I shall receive an honorarium of 15,000 (fifteen thousand) Kronen, viz. half, 7,500 (seven thousand five hundred) Kronen, upon signing of this letter of agreement, the second half, 7,500 (seven thousand five hundred) Kronen after delivery of the manuscript. 4
