1 Writing of this letter is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/9, pp. 3071‒3072, May 31, 1927: "an die U.-E. recomm. das imprimirte op. 57 ..." ("to UE by registered mail the copy of Op. 57 authorized for publication ..."). Most of the underlining in this document is done in pen, but "T. 235" is in crayon, and the " p " in the text is underlined in both ink and crayon.
