Anbei die ganze Sonata op. 57 imprimiert! Vielleicht aber behebt die Druckerei einen kleinen Schönheitsfehler auf S. 428: dort in T. 235 sollte das p in der Reihe des dimin . . . stehen, wie folgt:

Enclosed is the whole Sonata Op. 57 with imprimatur! But perhaps the printers might repair a small esthetic error on p. 428: there, in m. 235, the p in the course of the diminuendo . . . ought to appear as follows:

p dim
riten.

(not

dim
p <

With kind regards,
Yours truly,

Footnotes

1 Writing of this letter is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/9, pp. 3071‒3072, May 31, 1927: "an die U.-E. recomm. das imprimirte op. 57 ..." ("to UE by registered mail the copy of Op. 57 authorized for publication ..."). Most of the underlining in this document is done in pen, but "T. 235" is in crayon, and the " p " in the text is underlined in both ink and crayon.
