Abschluß des Manuscriptes von op. 109 zum zweitmal. Mit Vergnügen blicke ich auf den Ertrag der Anstrengung zurück, die mir die Erhöhung der Honorare gekostet hat. Nun sind bis auf drei Ausnahmen sämtliche Schüler u. Schülerinnen gleichmäßig auf den Stand von fl. 720 per Saison gebracht worden. Gerne hätte ich die Initiative dazu den Schülern selbst überlassen, aber gerade sie sind seliger wenn sie nehmen, als wenn sie geben. Nun mußte ich sie auch zur Vornehmheit der schuldigen Pflichterfüllung selbst anleiten!

Completion of the manuscript of Op. 109 , for the second time. I look back with pleasure at the result of the effort, which has cost me the raising of my lesson fees. Now all my pupils, male and female, with three exceptions, have been brought to the same level of payment, 720 florins per teaching year. I would gladly have left this to my students’ initiative, but they in particular are happier when they take than when they give. Now I had to guide them also towards the nobleness of fulfilling their responsibilities!
