1 Rudolf Steglich, in "Karl Philipp Emanuel Bach und der Dresdner Kreuzkantor Gottfried August Homilius im Musikleben ihrer Zeit" (Bach-Jahrbuch 12 [1915], p. 134, n. 15), writes about the Versuch über die wahre Art das Clavier zu spielen (Berlin: 1753–1762): "A further reprinting by Hugo Daffner, based on Emanuel's annotated personal copy, was published by Bosse in Regensburg." It seems, however, that Daffner's edition was never published (see also diary entry for June 15, 1917).
