New bill from Universal Edition for Op. 111; they apparently do not believe that the money I sent was to cover Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Op. 111. — From Simrock (postcard): demands Lendvay's score back or payment. — To Simrock (postcard): an error has been made, since the work was sent to me by request of the composer. — The maid does not wait for Lie-Liechen to bring coal up from the cellar, actually meets her on the stairs, but passes by, so that I have to carry up three buckets myself; the maid's son brings 84 kilograms of wood for 1.60 Kronen per kilogram. — From Miss Schaab (letter): would like only two lesson per month, reason: she earns the money for lessons by offering lessons herself, but cannot keep up on her end.{2191}
