Footnotes1 On November 12, 1918 the ceremonial proclamation of the (First) Republic took place on the steps of the Austrian parliament. On April 25 1919, unanimously and without debate, the date of November 12 was declared the National Holiday. In 1933, the Austrian Parliament was abolished, the national holiday of November 12 also becoming a casualty of dictatorship, since it was officially rescinded on April 27, 1934. 2 = OC 24/17a and OC 24/17b, undated drafts. 3 "Mozart Sonate A-Moll (Köchel-Verzeichnis Nr. 310)," in: Der Tonwille Heft 2 (1921), 7–24; Eng. transl., I, pp. 55–71; esp. 19–24 (pp. 66–71). |
