⇧ Der Film von gestern: wie für diese Kinder gemacht. Ein Dienstmädchen, vom Gutsherrn geschwängert, landet, aus dem Hause gejagt, in einem Bordell – Schluß des ersten Teiles! — Das Meer zeigt ein ganz neues Gesicht: als ob es im Brei wäre rollen Wogen schwer u. langsam daher, ohne Kämme, darüber aber helle Sonne, blauer Himmel, etwas weniger heiß. — Ich will Strümpfe kaufen, finde aber den Mann nicht, den ich dazu brauche. — Nach Tisch schreibe ich meine Notizen rein, es dauert 3 Stunden. Dann versuche ich in der Kabine zu ruhen, es ist aber viel zu heiß. Nach dem Abendessen einige Abkühlung, vor dem Essen noch ein wenig Englisch. —

A servant girl, made pregnant by the estate owner, is thrown out of the house and ends up in a brothel: end of Part 1! — The sea is putting on an entirely new face; as if we were in a thick soup, the waves roll about heavily and slowly, without crests. But there is bright sunlight and blue sky above, and it is less hot. — I want to buy stockings but cannot find the man whom I need for this. — After this I write up my notes neatly; it takes three hours. Then I try to rest in my cabin, but it is much too hot. After supper it cools down somewhat; before the meal, a little English. —
