1 Willibald Nagel, Beethoven und seine Klaviersonaten (1903–05), which Schenker quoted disapprovingly in the secondary literature section of his critical edition of Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 109. Notably, Weisse’s previous lesson (December 31) is recorded as “Vortrag über Synkopen” (lecture on syncopations), and Weisse had worked on Op. 109 between November 23 and December 13, 1912.
