Austrian composer.

Von Escherich studied composition with Franz Krenn and voice with Mathilde Marchesi (at the Vienna Conservatory?). She was married to Gustav von Escherich, mathematics professor at the University of Vienna, and in 1905 they were living at Vienna I, Schottenring 10. She was involved in 1913 in founding the Bach Gemeinde (for promotion of works by J. S. Bach).

She composed sacred choral works (she won first prize in a Wiener Tonkünstlerverein competition in 1893), Lieder, piano and chamber music. Her papers are preserved in the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde.

Her daughter, Gita von Escherich, is mentioned in a letter from Baronesse Emma Fischer to Schenker of 1923 (OJ 11/2, [2]).
