Josef Gänsbacher

Austrian pianist and cellist. From 1868 on he worked as a singing teacher, from 1875 to 1904 he is said to have been a tutor at the Vienna Conservatory. He was a friend of Brahms, and the latter dedicated his Cello Sonata in E minor, Op. 38 to him.
