Son of a Jewish silk manufacturer; Austrian writer, philosopher, and anti-semite, early promoter of the Nazi party, who belonged to the circle of Otto Weininger and Houston Stewart Chamberlain. He founded a publishing house, Antaios, in 1909 for his own publications (its name taken from one of the giants of Greek mythology).
