Younger brother of Jeanette Schenker (née Schiff), hence brother-in-law to Heinrich Schenker from 1919, also brother to nine other Schiff siblings.

Emil was the third child and second son of Wilhelm (Wolf) Schiff and Emilie (née Strasser). He seems not to have maintained any contact with Jeanette, at least after the break with her first husband in 1910. He is not referred to in the letters of Rosa Weil or Paul and Anna Schiff, consequently nothing at all is known of his life, profession, whereabouts, or the circumstances of his death.
