Husband of Emma née Schiff, brother-in-law of Jeanette Schenker (née Schiff); father of Wilhelm and Anna.

Eduard was the oldest of the five children of Eduard Winternitz (?–1903), snr and Henriette (née Ornstein) (c1843–1929). He married Emma Schiff; the couple had two children: Wilhelm (1902–c1943, perished in Auschwitz) and Anna (later Palme), 1904–88). Nothing is known of his education, life, profession, or the circumstances of his death.
