Locality near Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria [Niederösterreich], situated approx. 15 km (c. 9 miles) north of Vienna, and accessible from the Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof. The "Kritzendorf Strombad" was built there in 1903, with wooden buildings on an old arm of the Danube among meadows, where until 1938 Viennese society came to bathe in the river's rapid-flowing waters.
