¹ Schenker’s diary for June 13, 1932 records: “Waldheim behauptet telephonisch, die Sendung noch nicht erhalten zu haben. […] — Jause im Café Aspang; Unterredung mit Deutsch wegen Waldheim u. Hofmeister, gibt Winke u. stellt sich zur Verfügung.” (“Waldheim insists over the telephone that it has not yet received the package. […] Afternoon snack at the Café Aspang. Discussion with Deutsch concerning Waldheim and Hofmeister; he makes suggestions and is at my disposal.”). — The diary for June 14 records: “Erbitte die Korrektur des engl. Vorworts nach Igls. Einfacher u. besser wäre die Sache auf meine Rechnung gegangen!” (“I request the proof of the English Foreword to be sent to Igls. It would be simpler and better if the matter were left in my hands!”).
