1 Schenker's diary at OJ 3/8, p. 2904, December 16, 1925, reports: "Scarlatti abgeschlossen." ("[galley proofs for essays on] Scarlatti finished."). There is no report of mailing on December 17. On December 18, the diary reports: "Korrektur der Fahnen abgeschlossen! Es begibt sich, daß sowohl ich wie Lie-Liechen ein Paket mit Stichen vergessen haben unser bemächtigt sich eine Unruhe, ich setze gleich eine expreß-Karte an den Verlag auf – dann klärt sich alles aufs heiterste. — Zur Post mit dem Paket an den Verlag [...]" ("Correction of the galley-proofs completed! It happens that I and also Lie-Liechen have forgotten [to mail] a package with proofs, [which] causes a certain unease to come over us; I immediately write an express postcard to the publisher – then everything is resolved in the most agreeable way. — To the Post Office with the package for the publisher [...]").
