Footnotes1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 4/1, p. 3137, November 18, 1927: "Von Dahms (K. aus Nizza): erkundigt sich nach dem Jahrbuch." ("From Dahms (postcard from Nice): he inquires about the Yearbook."). It is on the basis of this entry that the editorial dating of the letter is proposed. 2 Writing of this letter, which is not known to survive, is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 4/1, p. 3130, November 6, 1927: "An Dahms (Br.): Hinweis auf die Stellen des Jahrbuchs, die mir für seinen Gebrauch am wichtigsten scheinen." ("To Dahms (letter): reference to the passages in the Yearbook that I think would be most important for him to use."). |
