Herzlichen 1 Dank für Ihre beiden Karten. 2 Ich stecke augenblicklich noch sehr im Schreiben, da ich bis zum 20. etwa fertig sein will. Alsdann hoffe ich, ohne Schwierigkeiten, so etwa gegen den 25. VIII hin, kommen zu können. Ich werde mir einen auf einige Tage gültigen Pass zur Grenzüberschreitung ge ausstellen lassen und dann sehen, wie ich von Salzburg aus weiter komme. Ich freue mich unendlich darauf, Sie nun doch einmal sehen und sprechen zu können. Aber ich komme auf jeden Fall allein, d.h. ohne Vrieslander, damit ich recht viel davon habe. Many 1 thanks for both of your postcards. 2 I am presently buried in writing, and will be mostly done by the 20th. By then, I hope (barring any difficulties) to be able to come around August 25th. I will have a passport valid for several days issued to me for the border crossing [into Austria]. Then I will see how I will come from Salzburg. I look forward immensely to seeing you and having the chance to speak with you once again. However, I will in any case be coming alone (i.e., without Vrieslander), and therefore I will have much prepared myself.
