Im Kino; „Die letzten Tage von Pompeji[“] ² u. zum 1. Male sprechende Films gesehen u. gehört: eine Tänzerin u. einen virtuosen Ocarina-Bläser. So schön u. anregend diese Erfindungen sind, tragen sie leider zum Glück der Menschen gar nichts bei; dieses bleibt nach wie vor u. in ewige Zeiten darin allein verankert, daß {444} eine Beziehung zu einer bestimmten Sache, (Person u. Sache), Tätigkeit, usw., bis ins letzte Verborgenste mit tiefer Liebe erfüllt werde.

Abends mit den zwei Brüdern Pollak u. Fl. u. Frau im Café Casa piccola – eine Stunde beisammen.

In the movie theater, The Last Days of Pompeii ² and a talking film seen and heard for the first time: a dancer and a virtuoso ocarina player. As beautiful and stimulating as these inventions are, they unfortunately contribute nothing to the happiness of people; this remains now, as before, and for all time anchored merely in the fact that {444} a relationship to a particular thing (person or object), activity, etc. will be filled to the brim with deep love.

In the evening, with the two Pollak brothers, and Floriz and his wife at the Café Casa piccola – an hour spent together.
