Mrs. Honisch in her finery 1 (in spite of [her] straitened circumstances)! — After teatime to Hertzka: handed over "Fifth Symphony" 2 as well as volumes I and II, Lie-Liechen's copies; accept his suggestions, he suggests a letter to Cotta and requests that the Preface to Op. 101 be made more moderate. Thayer 3 ordered.
