Beende um ¾12h Haydn 1 – Lie-Liechen hat daran noch zu schreiben. — Nachmittag zu Orlay: macht mir Plomben, klagt über die Teuerung, empfiehlt das Honorar in Goldkronen 2 zu begehren. — Von Dr. Violin (K. aus Hamburg): war {2455} krank, fragt nach meinem Befinden. — Lie-Liechen beendet spät abends alles um Haydn.

Finish Haydn 1 at 11:45 – Lie-Liechen still has some writing to do on it. — To Orlay in the afternoon: does fillings for me, complains about the inflation, recommends requesting fee in gold Kronen. 2 — From Dr. Violin (postcard from Hamburg): was {2455} ill, asks how I am doing. — Lie-Liechen finishes everything having to do with Haydn late in the evening.

2 The Goldkrone took the place of the Gulden in Austria-Hungary in 1892, at which time is was a coin only for the very wealthy. After a period of hyperinflation in Austria 1920–22, when paper Kronen because virtually worthless, in October 1922 the country received a loan of 650 gold Kronen from the League of Nations, and this helped stabilize the currency.
