⇧ Morgens rufe ich den Spediteur an: „ . . . in einer Stunde!“! — Ich gehe aus, kaufe dunkles Brot, billige schlechte Trauben (nie wieder bei einem Stand!!) – bei der Post nichts, um 1^h zu Tisch. Bezahle die Pension bis 1. VII., dann rufe ich wieder wegen des Koffers an u. erhalte den Bescheid, daß für mich kein Gepäck eingetragen sei. Ich laufe zum Spediteur: Er wird um 5^h nach Valparaiso telephoniren, nimmt an, daß der Koffer dort liegengeblieben ist. Um ¾6^h: „Der Koffer kommt morgen vormittag“ (maniana?). — Gehe noch einmal aus um Tinte zu kaufen. — Nach dem Abendessen wasche ich endlich mein Haar – es wird wieder 11^h. —Vor dem Essen einen Flugpostbrief an Hinterberger ¹ geschrieben, Adressen nur aus dem Adressbuch anzugeben möglich (?). —

Nothing at the post office, at 1 o’clock at lunch. I pay the guesthouse until July 1, then telephone again about the suitcase and receive the news that no luggage has been recorded. I walk to the delivery company: they will telephone Valparaiso at 5 o’clock; they assume that the luggage was left there. At 5:45: “the suitcase will arrive tomorrow morning” (mañana?). — I go out once more to buy ink. — After supper, I finally wash my hair; it is again 11 o’clock. — Before the meal, an airmail letter written to Hinterberger; ¹ is it possible to specify addresses only from the address book(?). —
