1 Schenker’s diary for this day records: “A catchword that fell fortuitously from the lips of Mrs. Stirling used to secure her distance from the accomplishments of Mrs. Deutsch; she found all of that "very good." One cannot thus deny that she has good taste with regard to the moral convalescence of others. Yet I will of course content myself to having seen that good taste itself. From her heart, she grants to everyone nobleness, if only she herself is spared the compulsion to attain such a condition.”
