1 Probably Busoni’s piano arrangement of the J. S. Bach solo violin Chaconne in D minor usually referred to by Schenker as “Bach–Busoni,” which Bloch was to study between October 1913 and February 1914. “Busoni” on its own appears in Bloch’s notes for June 27 and November 21, 1913 (“repetirt Busoni”). It is less likely that this would be a composition by Busoni.
