1 There is no Fě minor Intermezzo by Brahms. Most likely he is referring to that in F minor, Op. 118, No. 4, or perhaps the Capriccio in Fě minor, Op. 76, No. 1.

2 Schenker's diary for February 9, 1921 reports: "Klammerth tells us about Figdor's approach in his seminar, which is incomprehensible." Klammerth was attending Guido Adler's seminar at the Musikhistorisches Institut in the University of Vienna around this time, and this raises the possibility that Figdor was, too.

3 Schenker's diary for May 31, 1921 has: "Figdor is bailing out; with only 10,000 Kronen a month, expenditure of this kind is not possible."
