Bridge in Vienna, erected in 1871/72, dismantled in the 1920s and replaced by the Friedensbrücke [Peace Bridge], itself renamed Brigittenauerbrücke in 1941; destroyed in 1945 restored and renamed the Friedensbrücke in 1946. The Brigittabrücke crosses the Danube Canal on the north side of the city, joining the 9th and 20th districts of Vienna.
