At your request, we will today send you the test print uncorrected under separate cover. Footnotes1 The writing of Schenker’s postcard is recorded in his diary for June 24, 1932: “An Waldheim (K.): urgire den Umschlag.” (“To Waldheim (postcard): I ask them to speed up the wrapper.”). – Receipt of Waldheim’s postcard is recorded in Schenker’s diary for June 29, 1932: “Von Waldheim (K.): kündigt den Probedruck des Umschlages an.” (“From Waldheim (postcard): the test print of the wrapper is on its way.”). Schenker’s postcard must have been a reaction to Deutsch’s letter of June 22, OC 54/366, in which he complains about not having received a print-out of the wrapper, and asks Schenker to arrange this. 2 Delivery from Waldheim is recorded in the diary for June 30: “Von Waldheim kommt der Umschlag mit Farbenmuster.” (“The wrapper with color samples arrives from Waldheim.”). |
