Auf Ihren lieben Brief vom 19. möchte ich heute nur kurz antworten, soweit er die Tafeln betrifft. ²

Ich muss zwei Tage Zeitverlust wagen, um keinen Fehler zu machen.

Heute bekam ich von Waldheim die Tafeln ohne Umschlag. ³ Den hätte ich in einem Probeabzug, ohne die Kommissionsfirma, gerne dabei, wenn ich zu dem Direktor der Auslieferung Hofmeisters gehe. Wie heisst er? Vielleicht wird er die Stücke erst nach Leipzig schicken müssen, bevor sich die Firma entscheidet. Bitte, sagen Sie mir auch, welche Preise wir vorige Woche besprochen haben. Ich habe keine Ziffer mehr behalten (Herstellung, Ladenpreis etc.). Denn die letzten Tage haben durch die Musik des Kongresses mein Hirn zermürbt. Veranlassen Sie , ⇧ bitte, also, dass Waldheim mir die Umschlagprobe schickt, wenn Sie keine überflüssig haben. Ich hätte übrigens die Tafeln alle rechts oben innen nummeriert, was die Ordnung bei 11 Stück erleich[t]ert hätte. Man hätte auch durch römische Ziffern da zum Ausdruck bringen können, dass die Tafeln zur ersten Lieferung gehören, wenn weitere folgen, damit die einzelnen Tafeln rasch wieder in das richtige Heft gebracht werden können. Nun, das kann man beim zweiten Heft noch gut machen.

Hoffentlich ist Igls nicht zu belebt für Sie. Sonst ist die Gegend ja herrlich. Viel Genuss wünscht Ihnen Beiden mit Hanna

I should like to reply only briefly to your kind letter of the 19th, ² as far as the Urlinie graphs are concerned.

I shall have to allow for two days’ lost time in order not to make any mistakes.

Today I received the graphs from Waldheim, without a cover. ³ I would have gladly liked to see a sample printout, without the [name of the] commissioning company, for when I go to the director of the Hofmeister distributing company. What is his name? Perhaps he will have first to send the pieces to Leipzig, before the company can make a decision. Please tell me what prices we were considering last week. I have not kept any figures (production, shop price, etc.), as the last few days have worn out my brain, on account of the music heard at the congress. ⇧ Please arrange, therefore, for Waldheim to send me a sample cover, if you don’t have a spare. I would, moreover, have numbered all the graphs in the upper right-hand corner, which would have made the ordering of the eleven leaves easier. One could also have introduced Roman numerals to show that the graphs belong to the first set, if more are to follow; in this way the individual sheets could be put back in the correct set. Well, one can still correct that in the second set.

I hope that Igls is not too hectic for you. Otherwise the area is indeed splendid. I join Hanna in wishing you both much enjoyment.
