Da ich nicht weiß, ob Sie in Wien oder doch in Horn 2 sind, frage ich an, wann Sie heimkehren und zu sprechen sind. Hoffentlich haben Sie sich recht gut erholt und so schönes Wetter gehabt wie wir. Ich werde Ihnen sehr viel erzählen müssen und nicht bloß von der Reise. 3 Ihnen und der verehrter gnäd. Frau die besten Empfehlungen unterdessen.

I hope you have had a good vacation and enjoyed as beautiful weather as we did. I will have a great deal to tell you, and not only about the trip. 3 In the meantime best regards to you and your esteemed wife.

1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/6, pp. 2723, September 13, 1924: "Von Frau Komorn (K.): meldet sich, habe viel zu erzählen." ("From Mrs. Komorn (postcard): reports in; she has much to tell.").

2 Horn: small town in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria. The Schenkers had arrived back in Vienna on September 20.

3 Schenker's reply is recorded in his diary at OJ 3/6, p. 2728, September 22, 1924: "An Frau Komorn (K.): über die Stunden wollen wir uns mündlich oder schriftlich verständigen." ("To Mrs. Komorn (postcard): let us communicate by word of mouth or in writing about the lessons.").
