Freitag

Lieber Herr Doctor! 1

Footnotes

1 The d’Alberts moved into Gusshausstraße in February 1912. This confirms the identity of the “young musician” in question as Felix Hupka. The follow-up can be seen in OJ 9/6, [56], when d’Albert sends Hupka to Schenker’s apartment on May 11, 1912, and Schenker’s acceptance of Hupka as a pupil in June 1912 (diary). The likely dates for this letter, being a Friday, are May 10 or 3.
