Footnotes1 Writing of this letter is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/9, p. 3012, October 17, 1926: An die Akademie (Br.): ob das Stipendium am 6. I. 27 zur Auszahlung gelangen kann?" ("To the Academy (letter): Whether the stipend can be paid out on January 6, 1927?"). — A draft in Jeanette Schenker's hand is preserved as OJ 5/4, [2], the variants in which which are given here in footnotes. — In OJ 5/4, [2], Schenker has written in the left margin "1.27 zu haben?" ("to have in January 1927?"), and the date, "17.XII.26" is placed above the naming of the addressee. 2 "von uns" ("by us") in OJ 5/4, [2]. 3 = OJ 9/1, [1] and UMdK Z 641 D/1925, [1]. 4 The correct death date was January 5. The 1927 award would mark the tenth anniversary of the stipend, albeit it had not been awarded in every single year between 1918 and 1926. 5 No paragraph break in OJ 5/4, [2], and the sentence is preceded by "Im Voraus," (In advance"). |
