1 Writing of this postcard is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/9, p. 3083, June 30, 1927: "An die U.-E. (K.): ob der Verlag des Herausgebers vergessen hat? ich habe op. 57 schon bei einem Schüler gesehen." ("To UE (postcard): has the editor's publishing house forgotten? I have already seen Op. 57 in the hands of one of my pupils.").

2 In the right margin at this point is written in an unknown hand "? On". The "On" (or "Dn") is perhaps an initialling.
