Gegen Abend meldet sich auf dem Horizont ein Gewitter an; dennoch kommt es zu keiner Entlastung. Diese mag an anderer Stelle erfolgt sein, da abends angenehme Kühle indirekt auch uns zuteil wird. —

— Verzicht auf sieben Abschnitte der Brotkarte bei der Brotkommission. —

— Reklamation an die Reinigungswerke betreffs fehlender u. vertauschter Stücke.

At the optician's, a Zeiss lens made, 7 diopters. —

On the way home, we meet Dr. Frühmann in front of the gate; we take him with us immediately, and I ask him about my throat. In fact, he detects a goiter. Whether I have inherited this or acquired it recently in the service of my pupils, is now of course of secondary importance.

Towards evening, a thunderstorm approaches on the horizon but fails to discharge. This may have occurred elsewhere, since in the evening a pleasant coolness is bestowed upon us. —

— Waiver of seven sections of the bread-card at the bread commission. —

— Compensation sought at the dry cleaners for missing and mixed-up garments.
