— An Sophie (K.): zitiere Mozios Zusage u. verspreche, vom Druck nicht zu lassen. — Am Scherzo-Trio. 1 — Unerwartete Aufheiterung, Mäher gleich zur Stelle. — 5–6½h abwärts in schöner Sonne; 4. u. 5. Aufzug Faust. — Nach farbigen Skizzen Reinschrift fortgesetzt.

— To Sophie (postcard): quote Mozio's agreement and promise not to give up putting pressure on him. — Work on Scherzo–Trio. 1 — It clears up unexpectedly, the mowers are at hand immediately. — 5:00–6:30 down the street in nice sun; Act IV and V of Faust. — After colored sketches, fair copy continued.
