House journal of Universal Edition, Vienna, founded in 1911/12, and running for seventeen volumes, ceasing publication in 1927. It was published for the Oesterreichischer Musikpädagogischer Verband (Austrian Music-Pedagogical Federation: inaugurated January 1911). It was one of several such house journals published by UE, others at the same period being Musica divina (1913–38), Musikblätter des Anbruch (1919–38: the most important organ for UE publicity), and Pult und Taktstock (1924–30).
