Kiesling family
Documents associated with this person:
The Kiesling family was of European origin but was by the 1930s living in Santiago, Chile, where Jeanette Schenker met them in the summer of 1936 and described them in her travel diary. Its principal members were:
- General Johann von Kiesling, father
- Hans Richard von Kiesling, son
- Elfride (Elfie) von Kiesling (née Maurach), daughter-in-law.
There were also three children, and Elfride’s mother (who was still living in Europe), all unnamed.
Whether the Emmy Kiesling who was a private piano teacher in Vienna in 1923 was related to the family is unclear.
