Only son of General Johann von Kiesling, husband of Elfie (Elfride) von Kiesling (née Maurach). Born in Munich, he may have moved to Chile when his father did, in 1924, remaining there for the rest of his life, and inheriting his title and property from his father when the latter died in 1948. He and his wife had three children.

Jeanette Schenker, during her travels to Chile in 1936, met the General, his son and daughter-in-law, Elfie von Kiesling, and visited their home in Santiago and their large country estate in the mountains outside that city on June 24 and 25.
