Zeinisjoch and Gasthaus, Montafontal (OJ 8/4, [31])

Valley 39 km (c. 24 miles) long in the Vorarlberg (Austria), which branches off at Bludenz and through which flows the River Ill (which springs at Silvetta and flows north-westwards into the Rhine). The valley is bounded by the Rätikon and the Silvretta in the south and the Verwallgruppe in the north.

The southernmost end of the valley is some 12 km (c. 8 miles) west of the Schenkers' regular vacation spot, Galtür, from which it is separated by the Zeinis Pass.
