unattributed, but probably by Ludwig Karpath (see CA 128) ‒ published in the Sonn und
Montags-Zeitung, Wien on October 24, 1910, and acknowledged in OJ 9/31, [30], October 26, 1910. The
notice praises vol. II/1 and in retrospect vol. I, and a clipping is preserved at OC 2/pp.
20‒21. The writer concludes: "We reserve to ourselves the prospect of a detailed review of
this work by Schenker." No such fuller review in that journal is preserved in Schenker's
scrapbook (OC 2).
