1 Notification of this money is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 4/1, p. 3227, July 16, 1928: "Von der U.-E. (Br.): Ankündigung von 162.26 S." ("From UE (letter): announcement of 162. 26 S."). However, WSLB 397 indicates that Schenker had still not received the money by August 5, 1928. The month of receipt "V" (May) is apparently overwritten and smudged, and may not be in Schenker's hand; Schenker's diary records receipt of the money in his diary at OJ 4/1, p. 3241, August 13, 1928: "Das Geld von der U.-E. endlich erhalten." ("The money from UE finally received.").
