Wir haben versehentlich die Schluss-Summe der ersten entgültigen Kalkulation schon unter den Teil für die Textbogen etc. gesetzt und dann den nochmals angeforderten neu kalkulierten Notenteil noch einmal dazugezählt. Wir bitten, die folgende Zahlen abzuändern:

Dazu kommen die M 90.– ⁵ für die neuen Probedrucke und die Korrekturkosten in den Urlinien und Figurentafeln, die uns Röder inzwischen mit M 72.– ⁶ gemeldet hat.

We have just received your letter of the 12th ² and see, to our horror and regret, ³ that we have made a serious mistake in our itemization [of the production costs], for which we kindly ask your forgiveness. By mistake, we placed the total sum of the first definitive calculation under the heading for the text gatherings and then we added the recalculated costs for the music to it once again. Please use the following revised figures:

To these are added 90 Marks ⁵ for the new sample prints, and the correction costs in the Urlinie graphs and figures, for which Röder has in the meantime given us a figure of 72 Marks. ⁶
