Sehr geehrter Herr Doktor! 1

Dear Dr. [Schenker], 1

In response to your postcard of yesterday, 2 we would like forthwith to inform you that our warehouses – in particular our principal warehouse in Leipzig – were supplied with copies of your Yearbook more than a week ago; delivery thus began a few days ago. Also, Berlin was supplied in time for the lecture. 3

Respectfully yours,

Footnotes

1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded in Schenker’s diary for December 18, 1930: “Vom Verlag (K.): Berlin sei beliefert worden, auch hat die allgemeine Auslieferung schon begonnen.” (“From the publishers (postcard): Berlin was provided [with copies]; the general distribution has already begun.”).

(“To the publishers (postcard): of what use to me is the accommodation until March 10, 1931 ... ironically if the Christmas sales are lost?”).

3 Hans Weisse’s first two lectures at the Central Institute for Music Pedagogy in Berlin apparently took place on December 9 and 10, and a third lecture was scheduled.
