Footnotes1 Receipt of this letter and Schenker’s reply are recorded in Schenker’s diary for June 10, 1932: “Von Waldheim (Br.): der Druck der Noten ist fertig, was ist mit dem Umschlag? — An Waldheim (Br. express): den Titel u. das Vorwort deutsch u. englisch.” (“From Waldheim (letter): the music printing is complete, what about the wrapper? — To Waldheim (express letter): the title-page and Foreword, in German and English.”). — Otto Erich Deutsch’s June 22 letter OC 54/366 reports receipt of the Urlinie graphs; it complains that a sample printout of the wrapper has not been supplied, and asks Schenker to arrange that one be sent to him. Deutsch also suggests that the graphs be numbered. |
