Footnotes

1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded on October 2 (OJ 3/6, p. 2577): "Von Frau Komorn (K.): bestätigt den Empfang der meinen." ("From Mrs. Komorn (postcard): confirms receipt of mine."). The first lesson took place on Monday October 13 (not October 1, as Schenker's message would imply): OJ 3/6, p. 2583: "Frau Komorn zur ersten Stunde." ("Mrs. Komorn to her first lesson.").

2 These are summarized in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/4, p. 2573, September 21, 1923: "An Frau Komorn (K.): schlage einige Stücke vor; die Stunde werde ich später ansagen." ("To Mrs. Komorn (postcard): I suggest a few pieces; I will inform her of the lesson time later."); and OJ 3/4, p. 2575, September 27, 1923: "An Frau Komorn (K.): bitte sie für Montag zur ersten Stunde, teile auch das Programm mit u. ersuche sie, Frl. Kahn zu verständigen." ("To Mrs. Komorn (postcard): I ask her to come for her first lesson on Monday, I also let her know the program and ask her to inform Miss Kahn.").
